1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to StayInLagos. By accessing or using our platform, website, or mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms apply to all users of StayInLagos, including guests, hosts, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

StayInLagos is an online platform that connects guests seeking short-term accommodations in Lagos, Nigeria with property hosts. We provide a marketplace for booking and managing accommodation rentals, along with optional add-on services.

StayInLagos is not a property owner, landlord, or real estate agent. We act as a facilitator between guests and hosts.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You may not transfer or share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Booking and Payments

For Guests

• All bookings are subject to availability and host confirmation
• Full payment is required at the time of booking confirmation
• Additional fees may apply for add-on services
• You agree to pay all applicable taxes and fees
• Refunds are subject to the property's cancellation policy

For Hosts

• You must accurately represent your property in listings
• You are responsible for maintaining your property's safety and cleanliness
• StayInLagos charges a service fee on each booking
• Payouts are processed according to our payment schedule

5. Cancellation Policies

Each property has its own cancellation policy, which is displayed on the listing page. Standard cancellation policies include:

• Flexible: Full refund up to 24 hours before check-in
• Moderate: Full refund up to 5 days before check-in
• Strict: 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Attempt to circumvent our platform for direct bookings
• Use the platform for any illegal activities
• Upload malicious code or interfere with our systems
• Engage in price manipulation or fake reviews

7. Intellectual Property

The StayInLagos name, logo, website, and all content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
• Use our trademarks without authorization
• Scrape or harvest data from our platform
• Reverse engineer our software or systems

8. Disclaimers

StayInLagos is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of property listings
• The availability of properties
• The behavior or reliability of hosts or guests
• Uninterrupted or error-free service

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StayInLagos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between guests and hosts should first be addressed through our Resolution Center. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter will be subject to arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with Nigerian law.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of StayInLagos after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
